Award-Winning Political Fiction Author
As a retired member of the Rhode Island Army National Guard, I had the priviledge of serving as a supporting member of the Special Operations Detachment - Global. The SOD-G is tasked to provide support to USSOCOM in the planning, directing, and executing of Special Operations in the conduct of the Global War on Terrorism by providing command and control capabilities with a detachment of Special Forces, Combat Support, and Combat Service Support personnel. As a part of my duties with them, two years of that time was spent down in Homestead, Florida with the men and women of the Special Operations Command South. Although I never had the opportunity to serve in combat myself, I understand the sacrifices the men and their families make to perform their missions around the globe. Now, I want do my part to give back. The main charcters in The Michael Bennit Series and in The Eyes of Others were both military, and my research for those projects, along with my service, has made me acutely aware of the needs of our veterans.
“Mikael Carlson is off to a rousing start to the Michael Bennit Series with his first book, The iCandidate. With a believable plot, and likable characters, he exposes deplorable political processes and people.”
“Carlson is an excellent wordsmith with a very interesting plot line in this book. It's fast paced with well handled viewpoints of each th character. His "message" is subtle and rings true with this reviewer.”
“Excellent read, thought provoking, couldn't put it down. The story hangs on a novel concept that really makes you think. Looking forward to more by Mikael Carlson”
